TREATMENT OF WRINKLES
Wrinkles are the first visible sign of skin aging. Years of repetitive activity of the mimic muscles, accompanied by progressive loss
of elastic and collagen fibers, sagging and volume loss of facial fat pads as well as decreasing supply of water and nutrients lead
to the formation of furrows and wrinkles in the typical areas. External influences such as sun, artificial UV light exposure, stress,
nicotine and alcohol consumption additionally contribute to this process. Moreover, genetic predisposition can have dual, i.e.
both a positive (slowing down) and negative (accelerating), effect on skin aging.
The development of wrinkles is therefore inevitable, sooner or later.
Microneedling is based on the perforation of the upper skin layer with the help of "fine needles" or microneedles.
We use AquaGold® FineTouch and TKN DermaRoller systems. These micro-injuries activate healing processes as well as
collagen and elastin production to tighten the skin. In addition, microneedling allows bioactive substances such as Hyaluronic
acid, vitamins, growth factors, antioxidants, botulinum toxin, autologous blood and others to be directly delivered into the skin
for lasting improvement of the skin's appearance. Microneedling can be performed alone and in combination with other
procedures (laser, injections, surgery). Indications:
•
Smoothening of fine wrinkles and other signs of aging
•
Reduction of mimic wrinkles around the eyes and mouth using botulinum toxin
•
Glowing complexion and skin regeneration
•
Reduction of large-pored skin
•
Reduction of fine scars
•
Lightening of pigment spots
The costs range from 350 to 600 CHF per treatment, depending on whether it is a stand-alone treatment
or combination with other procedures.

Successful wrinkle treatment addresses therefore not one, but multiple layers such as skin surface, connective tissue,
muscles and bones in various combinations. Accordingly, four levels of possible interventions can be defined,
which are summarized under 4R:

RESURFACE - skin surface treatment with laser (more information available here)
•
Relax - relaxation of the relevant facial and/or neck muscles with botulinum toxin
•
Refill - improvement of volume loss with Hyaluronic acid and mineral fillers as well as autologous fat injections
•
Resuspend – re-draping of sagging skin using thread or surgical lifting (more information available here)

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and refers to a component of human blood. Injections of PRP have been used for many years

utilized. PRP is one of the few methods available to individuals with allergies and/or others who face contraindications for other
